ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) Albuquerque police say a substantial amount of crack cocaine was found inside the body of a driver of a vehicle that struck a semi cab parked on the shoulder of Interstate 40. Officer Simon Drobik says the cocaine was found in a body cavity as the person was going into emergency surgery after being injured in the accident late Monday.
According to Drobik, the person was driving a vehicle that veered into the shoulder and struck the semi cab. It then spun back into a traffic lane and collided with a third vehicle. A second person in the vehicle that struck the semi also was critically injured. The semi's driver wasn't injured and the driver of the third vehicle was hospitalized in stable condition.
