GRANTS, N.M. (AP) The driver of a propane tanker is facing a DWI charge after New Mexico State Police say he crashed his truck in McKinley County, leading to the brief closure of Interstate 40. Police say officers found empty containers of alcohol at the scene of Monday morning's crash.
Authorities say 55-year-old Bobby Cleveland of Prewitt was driving on State Road 122 when he lost control of his truck, which was filled with propane. The tanker had a small leak and authorities shut down nearby I-40 for an hour while hazmat evaluated the scene. The accident also led to train tracks being closed.
