Nearly a decade after Cibola High School student Brittani Marcell was attached inside her home, Albuquerque police finally make an arrest. Late Wednesday night, officers arrested 33-year-old Justin Hansen and charged him with beating Brittani with a shovel after she went home from school for lunch.
APD also says Hansen allegedly threatened Brittani’s mother, who walked in on the attack.
Brittani couldn’t recall anything about her attacker at first but eventually began to remember details and worked with police on a suspect sketch.
Hansen is now charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault. The case was featured on “America’s Most Wanted.”
