Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – An Albuquerque man will spend the next 18-years in prison for killing his friend in an alcohol related shooting in February of last year. Adam Roberts was sentenced on Tuesday after being found guilty in April of second degree murder with a firearm enhancement in the death of his friend Gavin Huntsman.
Roberts and Huntsman were drinking heavily on the day of the shooting and went to the mesa to test a newly purchased firearm. After consuming more alcohol they got into a heated argument in Roberts apartment and he shot Huntsman in the head, killing him.
