Not Enough Snow Yet for Ski Santa Fe

Yet another New Mexico ski area is delaying its opening due to lack of snow. Ski Santa Fe got seven inches in the latest storm but that wasn’t quite enough. Spokeswoman Debbie Owen says they have been able to make artificial snow.

But she says if they get one more big snow storm, that will likely be the push to allow Ski Santa Fe to open sooner than later. No definite opening date has been set.

Last year Ski Santa Fe was able to open on Thanksgiving Day after getting almost five feet of snow up to that point.
