The Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority is beginning work on a project that should remove sewer odor from one Duke City neighborhood. The area of Yucca and Central has been dealing with the issue for a long time. The installation of a vortex manhole technology should fix the problem. The technology traps the gases underground instead of letting them rise to the surface and into the air. Work installing the gas-trapping manholes is set to begin this week.
