Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — New Mexico State Police are investigating a fatal crash on Highway 550 in Rio Arriba County that left one man dead. Police say 34-year-old Crescencio Castro Baldazo was driving under the influence when the crash happened Sunday morning. 55-year-old Jasper Bunny of Farmington later died at the hospital. Authorities say Castro Baldazo ran from the scene but was stopped with help from witnesses, including an off-duty police officer. He is now held at the Rio Arriba County Detention Center as the investigation continues.
