Bernalillo County’s Clerk has the edge in the Secretary of State’s race. Democrat Maggie Toulouse Oliver holds a significant lead over her opponent, Nora Espinoza. The latest Albuquerque Journal poll shows Toulouse Oliver with 53% of voter support compared to Espinoza’s 40%.
Whoever wins this race will complete the last two years of former Secretary of State Dianna Duran’s term after Duran’s criminal Conviction.
