Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The Albuquerque Rugby Club is heading to Mexico next month for a cultural exchange and tournament appearance. From April 23rd through the 25th, the club will field its Aguilas Aztecas team in the 2026 San Marqueño 10s Rugby Tournament in Aguascalientes. The event is part of La Feria de San Marcos, Mexico’s largest fair, drawing millions of visitors each year.During the trip, the team will meet with local leaders and community groups as part of a cultural exchange coordinated with members of Mexico’s Secretariat of Economics. Club leaders say the visit continues efforts started last year to strengthen ties between New Mexico and Aguascalientes.
