You’re free to fire-up your sprinkler system in Bernalillo County anytime you want. Katherine Yuhas with the Water Utility Authority says time of day watering restrictions are over this year. However, she tells News Radio KKOB you should cut back on watering as winter approaches.
She says if we have a dry winter as predicted, you’ll want to water your landscape about once a month, especially your trees.
Yuhas says the unusually warm weather we’ve had led to increased water use. She says we’re about 1.1 Billion gallons ahead of where we were this time last year.
