Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –31 year old Carlos Parra-Cordova was arrested in 2023 after DNA from the two victims linked him to the crimes. Investigators believe Cordova drugged one of his victims at a downtown bar in 2012 and abducted the other after offering her a ride home. He was 16 years old at the time. The case is part of the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office’s efforts to clear a backlog of untested rape kits. Last week, a judge allowed prosecutors to take additional DNA and fingerprint samples. Parra-Cordova will be held until trial.
