Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Sandia National Laboratories says its economic impact hit $5.2 billion in 2025, a new record for the 17th straight year. The labs spent nearly $3 billion on its workforce and more than $1 billion with small businesses, including $463 million in New Mexico. Sandia also paid $148 million in taxes and expanded STEM programs to reach 14,000 students. Officials say the growth reflects Sandia’s role as one of the state’s largest employers and economic drivers.
