Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Albuquerque has opened its first public restroom at Civic Plaza. The facility, known as a “Portland Loo,” includes a baby changing station, handwashing area, and ventilation. Mayor Tim Keller says the restroom is meant to serve everyone, including families and those experiencing homelessness. This is the second Portland Loo in the city—the first was installed in Old Town. A third is planned for the transit center, funded by a federal grant.
