Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Hundreds of people who usually attend the Festival of the Cranes at Bosque Del Apache are going to be disappointed. The festival has been cancelled for this weekend. Festival manager Cari Powell says the government shutdown forced them to make other plans – starting on Thursday with crane expert Paul Tebbel over Zoom. Powell says there will be an in-person trivia contest at the Capitol Bar and Brewery Friday night. Then on Saturday night a live stream has been set up to watch the birds come in, starting at 4:30pm. On Sunday, the same stream will be up to send the birds off for the day.
