SHIRLY (ID# 1747210) IS AN 8 YEAR YOUNG, FEMALE RED & WHITE AMERICAN PIT BULL TERRIER MIX WEIGHING 44 POUNDS.
◊ I’ve been called “gentle, a little shy, sweet and sensitive”.
◊ I was lonely until I made some new Beasties here at Albuquerque Animal Welfare.
◊ If the eyes are the window to the soul, my soft brown eyes will tell you
that I have a very special very sweet soul.
◊ I’m looking for someone who wants to give me a comfortable,
happy home where a dog is a part of the family!
◊ I enjoy taking daily walks, checking out the trail or
my neighborhood while at your side.
◊ I have learned that the meaning of life is love and attention with a constant companion.
◊ I am looking for a guardian who wants to love me, take care of me
and be a bit silly with me and give me a belly rub every day!
☺ So if your perfect doggie pal is a gentle, loving and sensitive soul then don’t delay. I’ve cleared my calendar, and I’m ready to win your heart when we meet. I’m ready and waiting at the Eastside location of Albuquerque Animal Welfare. After you adopt me let’s go to the free Pit Bull training. Learning boosts my confidence and you’ll love my new skills.
The last two weekends we’ve had our free training classes for those parents of pit bulls and bit bull mixes type dogs. It’s been a great turn out…even with a bit of rain last weekend. Everyone canine and human are having lots of fun while learning skills. This Saturday October 15th is the third set of classes. You can attend this weekend even if you have not attended the last two weekends. Please go to our website www.cabq.gov to get more info on what each class will help you with. The training will be at our Eastside Shelter every Saturday during the month. For those in the community that already Pit Bull mix family member this is for you…or adopt one and then bring it to the classes during this month long event. Animal Welfare’s goal is to get much-needed resources to these dogs and the folks who love them. Understanding the breed of a Pit Bull is the first step to being a responsible pet owner. This event was very popular and well attended last year so don’t miss out.
