BELLA (ID# 1645829) IS A 4 YEAR OLD, FEMALE BRINDLE & WHITE AMERICAN PIT BULL TERRIER MIX WEIGHING 52 POUNDS. I’m a tall gal, maybe some Labrador Retriever in my mix? I like to cool my tootsies in the kiddy pool too.
◊ I’ve been called “gentle, a little shy, sweet and sensitive”.
◊ I was lonely until I made some new Besties here at Albuquerque Animal Welfare.
◊ If the eyes are the window to the soul, my soft brown eyes will tell you that
I have a very special soul. I’m looking for a calm gentle person and
a calm home with a yard where I can
have a quick sprint when I’m in a playful mood.
◊ I’m looking for someone who wants to give me a comfortable, happy home
where a dog is a part of the family!
◊ I enjoy taking daily walks, checking out the trail
or my neighborhood while at your side.
◊ I have learned that the meaning of life is love and attention with a constant companion. No backyard dog here, I want to BE with my people!
◊ I am looking for a guardian who wants to love me, take care of me
and let me curl up at your feet, lean in for a kiss or follow you everywhere,
each and every day!
☺ So if your perfect doggie pal is a gentle, loving and sensitive soul then don’t delay. I’m not fond of my kennel so please ask to see me in a quiet area. There I’m comfortable getting to know you and show you how sweet I am. I’m ready to win your heart when we meet.
Soon? I’m ready and waiting at the Eastside location of Albuquerque Animal Welfare.
Last Saturday kicked of the first of our free training classes for those parents of pit bulls and bit bull mixes type dogs. It was a great turn out and everyone canine and human had lots of fun while learning skills. This Saturday October 8th is the second set of classes. Please go to our website www.cabq.gov to get more info on what each class will help you with. The training will be at our Eastside Shelter every Saturday during the month. For those in the community that already Pit Bull mix family member this is for you…or adopt one and then bring it to the classes during this month long event. Animal Welfare’s goal is to get much-needed resources to these dogs and the folks who love them. Understanding the breed of a Pit Bull is the first step to being a responsible pet owner. This event was very popular and well attended last year so don’t miss out.
