 
			Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –27 year old UNM punter Daniel Hughes from Australia is making quite a name for himself. Althouh he’s only in his first season as a division I football player, he’s been named to the Ray Guy award watch list. The award is given annually to the nation’s top collegiate punter. Of Hughes 19 punts this season, only one has gone for a touchback. Nine have gone for 50+ yards, including a season-long 64 at San Jose State. Seven of his punts have pinned the opponent inside of its own 20 yard line. Hughes said that he manifested the award a year ago and got a tattoo of Guy on his stomach.
