Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Authorities are investigating after a body was found at the site of a fire in an abandoned building early Sunday in Española. The structure, previously condemned and known for drug and stolen property activity, caught fire overnight. Fire crews from Española, Santa Clara, and Mesilla responded. No firefighters were injured. The Española Fire Marshal, State Fire Marshal’s Office, and federal ATF are now leading the investigation.
