Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — An officer involved shooting that occured in Eddy County involving the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office is being investigated by the NM State Police. Deputies responded to a location near the intersection of McKittrick Road and Hidalgo Road to reports of a male who was threatening an individual while armed with a rifle. Upon arrival, a deputy was alleged to have shot the man. Eddy County Sheriff Matt Hutchinson requested State Police investigate the shooting.
