Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A student at Atrisco Heritage Academy High School could be expelled and prosecuted. The action, the result of authorities finding a gun in a car at the school’s parking lot on Tuesday. In a letter sent to parents, Principal Anthony Lovato confirmed the incident and that contact with the associated 16 year old student had been made. The student confirming the weapons presence in his vehicle. Lovato saying, that despite the fact that the student had no plans to harm himself or others, bringing the weapon on campus was unacceptable.
