Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Is it the end of an era? The 19 year old Darth Vader hot air balloon may be flying its last event if a new balloon isn’t possible. According to balloon owner, Benoit Lambert, Darth Vader’s fabric can no longer be repaired and a new balloon will be about $150,000. Lambert is looking to Vader’s fan for donations. So far, $3000 has been raised. Lambert says, “Everyone wants to see Vader coming back next year and for the next ten years or more that’s my dream, but we never know what will happen, so I’m still confident.”
