Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — For the second year in a row the NM State Fair welcomed over 500,000 visitors. The final count is 514,458 during the 11-day run. Visitors came from across NM to convene at Expo NM to take part in the State’s agricultural heritage, arts and culture. The number of visitors this year marks the second-highest attendance numbers since the Fair became an 11-day event in 2012. Fair officials attribute the near-record attendance to a number of factors, including continued efforts to make the fair more affordable than ever. General Manager, Dan Mourning, states, “every year our focus is on safety, affordability, and top tier entertainment. The NM State Fair is the perfect chance for New Mexicans to come together and celebrate what makes our state great!”
