SANTA FE, N.M. — New Mexicans now have a new way to apply for and manage essential benefits like food assistance and Medicaid — right from their smartphones or tablets.
The state has officially launched the YesNM mobile app, expanding access to health and human services beyond the existing Yes.NM.Gov website. Officials say the app is designed to make it faster and easier for residents to apply for benefits, check eligibility, and receive updates in real time.
“We set out to improve the customer experience,” said Kari Armijo, secretary of the New Mexico Health Care Authority. “New Mexicans already use their phones for everyday needs, and now they can apply for, renew and manage their benefits just as easily — all from one secured place anywhere in the state.”
Key Features of the App Include:
- Apply for benefits and track application status
- View updates on eligibility and case information
- Access a personalized dashboard with all benefits in one place
- Receive instant alerts for changes or updates
- Sign in securely using fingerprint authentication
The app was developed with input from communities across New Mexico, including residents with disabilities and non-English speakers.
The YesNM mobile app is now available for download in the App Store and Google Play. Users can create an account, link it to their existing benefits case, and begin managing their health and human services programs.
