ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A man is dead following a shooting involving Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputies Saturday night in northwest Albuquerque.
According to a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an alarm activation at a business on the 6700 block of 2nd Street NW around 9 p.m. Upon arrival, they encountered a male at the scene. During the interaction, shots were fired. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene. No deputies were injured.
The Multi-Agency Task Force is now investigating the incident. No further details about the individual or the circumstances leading up to the shooting have been released.
