Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The New Mexico Department of Transportation says NM 434 is closed due to damage from severe flash flooding. Earlier today Mora County commissioners declared a state of emergency, asking the state and feds for resources after severe flooding washed out roads and trapped some people in their homes. Adding, that there is major miscommunication between the state Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and the Mora County leadership regarding which resources they need. They have are set up an Emergency Operation Center over concerns about people on oxygen, or with other medical issues stuck in their homes.
