Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — They say they need more time. This from the Rio Rancho Governing Body who have postponed a vote on a developer’s plan to transform the old Rio Rancho Golf course golf course into a new development. Albuquerque-based entrepreneur Steven Chavez, seeks to develop a new 281-acre development with houses, a business park, a town center called the “La Joya de Rio” and open recreational spaces. Residents who live around the property, had been sent letters by the city on July 28th advising them of the possibility for a postponement.
