NEW MEXICO — Residents of Lincoln County impacted by the June 23 storm and flooding may qualify for Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) benefits. Applications will be accepted from August 18 through August 24.
The federal government approved New Mexico’s request to provide D-SNAP benefits to Lincoln County following a Presidential Disaster Declaration. Approximately 7,297 households may be eligible.
Residents who experienced damage to their homes or belongings, a loss or reduction in income, or disaster-related expenses may qualify for one month of food assistance. Benefits will be issued via Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards, which can be used at authorized retailers.
