Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –An Albuquerque rape case from the 90s has finally resulted in a conviction. A jury on Thursday night convicted Brian Rascon of three counts of first-degree criminal sexual penetration with a firearm enhancement in connection with an assault that took place during a home invasion in July 1991. The case remained cold for decades until the sexual assault rape kit collected at the time of the crime was finally tested leading to Rascon’s identity..
