Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A billion dollar nuclear fusion testing site could be moving in to Albuquerque. The Albuquerque Journal reports local and state officials have been negotiating with California-based Pacific Fusion. The company could set up a 225-thousand square foot research and development facility in Mesa Del Sol or at another site in the city. The facility will add 200-permanent jobs and hundreds of construction jobs. The New Mexico Economic Development Department and officials with Pacific Fusion announced the memorandum of understanding this morning.
