Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Drivers in the Duke City will be pleased to learn that Phase One of the I-25 construction project in Albuquerque is finished. The $268 million project started nearly a year ago, reconstructing outside lanes on I-25 between Candelaria Road and Montgomery Boulevard, and also added new bridge sections over Comanche Road. Phase Two now underway, involves north and southbound traffic having to use the outside lanes, so drivers should expect delays. The whole project is estimated to take two more years, with the goal of improving safety and reducing travel times.
