Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Criminals have put a crimp in rapid wildfire response with the theft of vital New Mexico Forestry Department equipment. New Mexico State Police is asking for the public to help locate a stolen red Kubota tractor, two white utility box trailers, and a black open utility trailer. The items were stolen from the New Mexico Forestry Department depot, located at 1085 Richards Ave., in Santa Fe. Police said a black Chevrolet Tahoe with New Mexico license plate #CBXP28 accessed the depot on three separate occasions between 8 p.m. on June 7th and 4 p.m. on June 8th. Anyone with information regarding the suspect vehicle, or the stolen items is asked to contact State Police.
