Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — No news is good news for Intel workers in Rio Rancho. The company plans to lay off up to 20-percent of its workers next month worldwide. An article this month in the Oregonian said most of the cuts would take place in July and manufacturing operations would be targeted. The Rio Rancho site has more than 3-thousand full time workers. Sandoval County Manger Wayne Johnson told the Albuquerque Journal he’d been in contact with the plant and hasn’t been notified of any layoffs.
