Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Animal Humane New Mexico is asking for public support as it takes in strays from fire evacuation zones in Valencia County. The county shelter is overwhelmed, now serving as emergency housing for pets displaced by the Desert Willow Complex Fire. To help free up space, Animal Humane is accepting donations and encouraging the public to adopt or foster from its three locations.
