SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) Santa Fe police say a newspaper deliveryman who was swerving to avoid a pit bull struck a horse the dog was chasing. Police say the horse was badly injured by the truck Tuesday morning and was put down.
They say the animals were owned by the same person and it appears the dog wasn't being aggressive. The owner was cited for having an animal loose in the city.
