New Mexico National Guard head to Africa

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — New Mexico National Guard begin deploying for the Horn of Africa today with a sending off ceremony in Las Cruces. Another event is scheduled Friday afternoon in Albuquerque. The Rocky Mountain region sent troops to Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti last year, too. 4-hundred New Mexico Guard are being deployed to the region, which has a lot of terror group activity that needs US security expertise.
