Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The snowpack in Southern Colorado that Albuquerque relies on for surface water is very low after a dry winter. The Water Utility Authority’s David Morris says it’s not time to panic just yet. He says the Rio Grande in Albuquerque could go dry as soon as the end of this month. The Water Authority is responding by raising the rebate amount offered to replace residential lawns to $3 per square foot. Call ahead for details before starting your lawn replacement.
