Improving emergency response

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Albuquerque Fire Rescue is making staffing changes to improve emergency response. Both Rescues and Engines will be staffed with paramedics in high-demand areas, expanding paramedic and EMT coverage across multiple districts. AFR’s Fire Chief, Emily Jaramillo, says these updates aim to improve response times and care quality amid rising call volumes.
