Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –In honor of America’s 250th birthday celebration Coca Cola is releasing limited edition mini cans with local symbols from every state. Each image celebrates what is unique about each state in the union with California’s can depicting a surfer and Wisconsin’s a block of cheese. For NM, it’s a Zia sun symbol which is sacred to Native Americans of the Zia Pueblo. The Zia symbol adorns our state flag and is synonymous with New Mexico. You’ll be able to find the themed mini cans of coca cola, diet coke and coke zero beginning this month.
