Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –NM’s Veteran’s who need information on veterans’ services, resources and state and federal benefits will get a chance to gather that information at the annual Veterans Conference this Friday and Saturday in Las Cruces. The conference is hosted by the NM Department of Veterans’ Services and gives veterans the chance to meet directly with NMDVS staff and service providers to help with benefits applications and claims questions. Questions about property tax waivers and exemptions will be addressed as well as obtaining the NM State Parks Lifetime Veteran Pass, filing VA benefits and compensation claims, and answering questions about VA health care eligibility and enrollment. Registration for the conference in Las Cruces is free and open to veterans and their families but space is limited. Register online at dvs.nm.gov.
