GALLUP, N.M. — Police are responding to an active scene Wednesday at Rehoboth Christian School near Gallup.
According to Gallup Police Department Chief Erin Toadlena‑Pablo, all students and staff were safely evacuated from the school and are being reunited with their families at the Red Rock 10 movie theater.
McKinley County Sheriff James Mariano said there is no active threat to the public. Authorities confirmed no shots were fired and the reported threat was never located inside the school. Sheriff Mariano said the evacuation was carried out as a precaution.
Law enforcement remains on scene as the situation continues to be investigated. Officials are advising the public to avoid the area while police operations remain ongoing.
