Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –A Silver City man was sentenced today (Tue) to 38 years behind bars after he was convicted of second-degree murder. The case goes back to 2023 when Jaime Rodriguez got into an argument with three children on ATV’s for kicking up dust. Rodriguez began chasing the kids in his Jeep almost hitting them. A bystander tried to intervene and the argument escalated. Rodriguez pulled a shotgun out of his car firing at the bystander and instead killed the bystander’s brother, Ruben Morales.
