Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — San Juan County is asking a judge to block a state decision that allows SunRay Park’s racing license to move from Farmington to Clovis. According to court filings, county commissioners want judicial review of the New Mexico Racing Commission’s February twenty-fourth order approving the relocation. The county argues the commission exceeded its authority, denied due process, and failed to follow its own rules. The Racing Commission says the decision falls within its licensing authority and would benefit the state’s horse racing industry.
