Los Lunas, NM (KKOB) – Los Lunas police are investigating a shooting that happened earlier today at the intersection of Highway 47 and Highway 6 also known as the “Valencia Y”
According to a social media post on the Los Lunas Police Department’s Facebook page, the intersection was closed for several hours Thursday, as police were diverting traffic from the area as they were investigating a shooting at the intersection.
Pictures posted on social media, showed several law enforcement agencies in the area including New Mexico State Police. In one picture posted on Los Lunas Community TOBS, shows a white car with what appear to be bullet holes on the windshield. It is unknown if this vehicle was involved in the incident or not. No information has been released on whether someone was actually shot or not.
People commenting on Facebook have posted that the shooting may have been as a result of road rage but no information has been confirmed.
