Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office is asking a judge to keep a 19-year-old Albuquerque man behind bars until trial. Miguel Rivera was arrested Sunday morning after officers say he fled a traffic stop near Rio Grande Boulevard and Central Avenue while driving a stolen vehicle. According to court records, Rivera faces charges connected to several liquor store burglaries across the city, including a crash-and-grab at a Kelly Liquor store on Wyoming earlier this month. Prosecutors say Rivera’s criminal history, which goes back to last year, supports their request.
