Rio Communities, NM (KKOB) – Valencia County Fire Department along with fire crews from Rio Communities, and Belen Fire are working an active fire bordering the Bosque in the area of Highway 304 an Lagrima Rd. which is just south of Rio Communities. Crews from VCFD’s Wildland Team are actively engaged with the fire which has burned nearly 40 acres and is still burning.
According to initial reports the fire is not contained and no structures are threatened so far. VCFD reports that additional resources are being sent from the state and regional fire teams.
