Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Authorities have identified the person who killed a Santa Fe woman in her home over the weekend. The woman’s son, Deven Roybal faces a charge of first degree murder in the death of his mother, Jennifer Vigil. Santa Fe County sheriff’s deputies found Vigil dead in her home on Sunday after a family member called 9 1 1 to report that Vigil had not been answering her phone. Vigil was found with stab wounds on her lower back. Her son had been arrested Saturday evening in San Juan County by deputies who found him asleep on the side of the highway near Bloomfield. He was driving his mother’s car. Roybal was released from the San Juan County jail on Monday and it is not clear if he’s been apprehended on the new murder charge.
