Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –A fatal stabbing on Tuesday resulted in the arrest of Trinity Carlson, known as “Cowboy.” Carlson admitted to being in a fight with the victim over a woman. The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of family members. Witnesses say Carlson got into a fight involving a metal pipe with the victim Tuesday evening at the Freeway Liquors near I-40 and 2nd street. A security guard broke up the fight but about 30 minutes later a witness said Carlson approached the victim again near 1st street and McKnight. An Albuquerque Transit Security officer announced he had located a man with an apparent stab wound to the chest. The victim was transported to the hospital but died as a result of his wound. APD officers saw a man matching the description of Carlson get into the passenger side of a vehicle, followed the car and made the arrest. Carlson is charged with an open count of murder, tampering with evidence and aggravated assault.
