Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – An Albuquerque man was found guilty on several violent charges including first degree kidnapping, aggravated battery and assault with a deadly weapon. Carlos Torres was arrested back in November of 2023, near Central and Louisiana after he kidnapped a woman at gunpoint, drove into an alleyway, pulled her out of the the truck and pistol-whipped her. When a neighbor tried to intervene, Torres shot at him, fortunately the man wasn’t injured.
The entire incident was captured on the neighbors security camera. Before the incident, Torres was released from prison on another kidnapping and battery case. He now faces up to 40 years in prison.
