Albuquerque, NM(KKOB) – An Albuquerque man was found guilty of child abuse that caused the death of a 6-month old baby girl in a hotel in northwest Albuquerque. Lawrence Gabaldon, was found guilty of several charges related to the death including possession of fentanyl and child abuse.
The APD Crimes Against Children unit arrested the baby’s mother for her death in July of 2023. 30-year old Gloria Tesillo, was found guilty for the death and for abuse of the baby’s twin who was found to be exposed to narcotics. She had originally told police on the day of her arrest that the baby was left in the care of her sister but officers found evidence of drug use in the hotel room and within easy reach of the children.
