Seven dogs and two cats were recently rescued from a home in the South Valley. Bernalillo County Animal Care Services officers became aware of the situation when animals were seen loose on an adjacent street. Officers investigated the property and found suspected animal neglect. The animals taken from the property all suffered from fungal infections and are currently being treated by Bernalillo County Animal Care Services. They won’t be available for adoption until treatment is completed.
